Jan Creation's Evoplla: A Futuristic Approach to Beauty Product Packaging

Evoplla's design inspiration is rooted in evolution, a concept that not only represents its advanced medical techniques but also symbolizes the relentless pursuit of beauty. The visual design features an abundance of silver, creating a futuristic aesthetic, while the simple and rhythmic pattern is derived from DNA, symbolizing the evolution of beauty and subtle changes.

What sets Evoplla apart is its unique packaging. Each product is housed in a rectangular cardboard box colored in futuristic silver. The logo of Evoplla and a unique DNA pattern is thermo-printed on the surface. The syringe is sealed in a shiny silver aluminum foil bag, which is placed in the drawer of the outer box. This design was created by Jan Creation for the medical beauty care products of Japan JTK International Medical Group.

The packaging box is made of 3mm thick special cardboard covered with matte silver. The techniques adopted include thermo-printed silver pattern and logo embossment. The inner packaging bag is made of a 12-wire aluminum foil bag. This design was realized through a combination of innovative design and advanced production techniques.

The project started in March 2018 in Beijing and was completed in October 2018. The design process involved extensive research, including firsthand experience and communication with consumers. This research revealed that individuals have different demands on beauty, and through the advantage analysis on Evoplla, Jan Creation realized that Evoplla is an iterative product in the industry, capable of providing one-stop solutions to all skin problems.

The main challenge faced in the design process was to highlight the brand quality without excessive luxury. A high-end shiny silver was chosen as the final color. However, multiple material suppliers were contacted and compared in the process of material selection and thermo print. After scores of experiments, the current packaging was decided upon, maintaining a reserved but grand quality.

This design was awarded Silver in A' Packaging Design Award in 2019. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
